Brutalist architecture in Madrid

A collection of my seven favourite brutalist buildings in Madrid.

What is brutalist architecture?

In short, brutalist architecture is a movement that emerged in the 1950s for post-war reconstruction, characterized by its use of raw concrete, geometric block-like forms, and a stark, monolithic appearance. It emphasizes the authenticity and sculptural qualities of materials, often showcasing the textures and patterns left by wooden forms used in casting concrete.
